His keepers were worried that he would be unable to swallow milk as his throat had been so badly constricted. However, after several hours' persuasion, Burra managed to feed. Burra has now recovered and lives with the older orphans in Tsavo National Park. He has a very calm temperament, often discouraging fights between the other elephants.
